Transparency is a difficult topic and it becomes more and more difficult to deal with as a community grows. The forgefriends reboot could do with a transparency stance that learns from Forgejo’s history.
I propose that transparency on money related topics happens in a space that is accessible to forgefriends community members but is not public so that search engines or AI do not have access to it.
It is as simple as creating a forgefriends group where all community members are included and only them have access to the funding category. Being part of the members group only requires contributing to forgefriends in a concrete way. It is a very low barrier to entry, but it is one that keeps non-human presence out.
